The Brian vonBischoffshausen Foundation was founded in 2013 after the sudden, unexpected passing of a beloved father, husband, brother, and friend.  Brian was an avid athlete.  He loved playing basketball with his buddies, throwing the ball around with his daughters, and most of all bragging about how many burpees he could do. Brian loved to exercise and flex his muscles for all to see.  After his typical rigorous workout at New York Sports Club, Brian suffered a massive, deadly heart attack.  It was unexpected because he had just received a clean bill of health a few weeks earlier from his cardiologist. Brian was surrounded by his loving gym friends who tried everything they could to revive him.  After several days in the hospital, Brian returned to heaven.

For those of you who have had the honor of knowing Brian, you know that he was an honorable, loving, funny, generous, family man.  He loved his wife, daughters, granddaughter, dogs, siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.   He loved to go to the beach, especially the Outer Banks, ride his bike along the canal, and golf whenever he could.

Brian’s family and friends created the Brian vonBischoffshausen Foundation to focus on giving back to the community.  The Brian vonBischoffshausen Foundation gives two scholarships to North Brunswick Township High School Scholar Athletes.  Brian loved to watch his daughters Jill and Joelle play basketball and softball and always instilled in his girls to get good grades, play hard and be a team player.  NBTHS seniors must meet this criteria to receive the scholarship in his name.   The Brian vonBischoffshausen Foundation also gives a donation to the Ronald McDonald House.  This is a charity chosen by his family because when Brian was in the hospital, they were given a private room to gather, grieve, sleep and meet with the doctors.  The family couldn’t imagine what they would have done if they were not given a place to stay throughout his final days.

We thank you for helping support the Brian vonBischoffshausen Foundation and ask that when you are out on the golf course, you share your fond memories of Brian and keep his spirit alive.
